MR LYONS BURIED AT DEVONPORT

ATTENDANCE OF 30,000 PERSONS PROVISION FOR WIDOW OF LATE PRIME MINISTER (United Press Assn.—Telegraph Copyright) (Received April 14, 5.5 p.m.) HOBART, April 14. Mr J. A. Lyons was buried at Devonport in the presence of 30,000 persons, which is five times the town’s population. People came from all parts of Tasmania, and impressive tributes were paid to the memory of the late Prime Minister. The Federal Cabinet has decided to make financial provision for Dame Enid Lyons and her family, to whom Parliament will be asked to grant an annuity of at least £lOOO.
