TRENCH SHELTERS IN MARSEILLES
(Received April 14, 8.50 p.m.) MARSEILLES, April 14.
Trench shelters are being dug and the distribution of gas masks has begun. Plans for the evacuation of the population are being prepared.
Anti-German demonstrations are reported to have occurred at St. Malo, in north-west France, and at Biarritz, near the western Spanish frontier.
