OTAGO’S CENTENNIAL MEMORIAL

ILLUMINATED FOUNTAIN SUGGESTED (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, April 14. The Otago Provincial Centennial Council decided at a meeting this afternoon that Otago’s centennial memorial, subject to confirmation by the City Council, should be an illuminated fountain, to be erected in Duhedin. The subject will come before the City Council for consideration at its meeting on Monday night. The site of the fountain has not yet been decided on, fo that even if the proposal is confirmed by the City Council as a suitable centennial memorial for the province, it may yet be some time before absolute finality is reached. The fountain, it is understood, was selected from seven or eight proposals which were before the Centennial Council today.
