YOUNG WOMAN FALLS THROUGH SKYLIGHT
MINOR INJURIES SUFFERED (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 14. Falling through a skylight in the dental clinic annexe, which is located in an old ministerial residence in Tinakori road. Miss Q. McGovern, a dental nurse, of 32 Hobson street, fell 15 feet to a room below and suffered minor abrasions. She yas suffering from shock when taken to the Wellington Public Hospital by the free ambulance. Miss McGovern had finished her work for the day and was in the dressing room on the upper story when an article she required fell out of the window. It is understood she went to retrieve the article and did not realize she was stepping on to the skylight.
The condition of Miss McGovern was reported tonight to be satisfactory. WATERSIDE WORKER’S DEATH (United Press Association) NELSON, April 14. Arthur Burton while unloading coal from the scow Portland collapsed and died. CYCLIST FATALLY INJURED (United Press Association) NELSON, April 14. Arthur Coltman, aged 24, a son of Mr Harry Coltman, the Health Inspector, died as the result of injuries when his cycle collided with a car when he was proceeding to work this morning. BODY RECOVERED FROM HARBOUR (United Press Association) TIMARU, April 14. Nine days after falling off the gangway of the Port Halifax at Timaru the body of a seaman, Edward Knox, was recovered this evening. The coastal vessel Port Whangarei was berthed at the same place as the Port Halifax had been and the body came up between the Port Whangarei and the wharf.
