Breaking the Match

Before performing this trick, secretly slip a used wooden match into the hem of a large handkerchief like this:—

Show your friends the handkerchief and place it on the table; then put another match in the centre of it and fold all four corners inwards over it. Give the folded handkerchief to a friend so that he grips the match in the hem. Tell him to break it.
