FIRE AT ST. PATRICK’S COLLEGE
RIFLE RANGE GUTTED (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, April 13. A fire at St. Patrick’s College, Silverstream, at 10.3 Q a.m. today gutted the rifle range and box room and damaged two rooms underneath, mostly by water. Pupils saved a portion of the contents, including a number of rifles belonging to the Defence Department. The flames were . prevented from doing more damage by the Upper Hutt, Silverstream and Trentham Camp Fire Brigades.
