MONEY STOLEN FROM TILL

SHOP ENTERED IN DEE STREET The till in Rice Brothers’ confectionery shop at the Majestic Theatre was opened and the sum of £l4 15/6 taken from it some time on Wednesday night. Entry was gained to the shop from the vestibule of the theatre, the connecting door being forced open, and the intruder left by the back door which opens on to the right-of-way between Dee street and Tay street. The thief, it is considered, was in the audience at the theatre and hid himself when the programme ended. Although nothing was taken from the theatre, several things were disturbed.

A window in the Brown Owl restaurant was also interfered with, but nothing is reported to be missing.
