ANNUAL TOURNAMENT AT ROXBURGH MANY KEEN CONTESTS The annual Easter tournament of the Roxburgh Tennis Club again proved very popular, visitors being present from all parts of Otago and Southland. The finals were very keenly contested and some brilliant play was seen. The following are the results:— MEN’S SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP Semi-finals.—J. F. Collis beat A. McKay, 9-6; S. Falconer beat A. Chisman, 9-2. Final.—J. F. Collis (Invercargill) beat S. Falconpr (Dunedin) 9-1. MIXED DOUBLES HANDICAP Semi-finals.—Falconer and Miss Kelly beat McKay and Miss Woods, 25-23; Collis and Miss Mehaffey beat L. Churchill and Miss Deegan, 25-15. Final.—J. F. Collis and Miss Mehaffey (Invercargill) beat S. Falconer (Dunedin) and Miss Kelly (Invercargill) 2624. WOMEN’S SINGLES CHAMPIONSHIP Semi-finals.—Mrs Frew beat Mrs Chisman, 7-3; Miss Mehaffey beat Miss Dobbie, 7-3. Final.—Miss Mehaffey (Invercargill) beat Mrs Frew (Roxburgh), 7-3.
