OUTBREAK OF FIRE AT WAIPOUNAMU

WOOLSHED DESTROYED An outbreak of fire destroyed a big woolshed on the property of Mrs E. J. Horrell, of Waipounamu. It is not known how the outbreak started. The fire was discovered by Mrs Horrell, who gave the alarm. By the time assistance could be obtained the building was enveloped in flames and no efforts by neighbours to quell the blaze could be made, it being impossible to approach the burning building. The shed contained 40 bags of grass seed and a shearing plant, including an oil engine. The building was insured.
