NAZIS DROP ATTACKS ON POLAND

PREPARATION FOR HITLER’S BIRTHDAY

(Received April 13, 1.5 a.m.) BERLIN, April 12. The Nazi campaign against Poland was completely dropped today. It is stated in official circles that Herr Hitler is eager to reach an agreement with Poland before his birthday celebrations on April 20. Extensive preparations fox- the birthday have begun. More than 45,000 men and tanks and artillery will participate in the biggest parade of troops Berlin has evex- seen. Giant pylons surmounted by flaming braziers will line the route.

The chief of the Gestapo (secret police), Herr Heinrich Himmler, who simultaneously celebrates the fifth anniversary of the Gestapo, will be given a big “popularity build-up.”
