THE WEATHER
(Special to The Times) WELLINGTON, April 12. Following, is the special weather forecast for Southland issued by the meteorological office, Wellington:— Light to moderate winds, northerly predominating. Weather fair to fine and mild, but with morning fogs again probable. Seas slight to moderate. Following is the Dominion forecast:— Weather fair to fine. Mild day, but cool night, temperatures with some morning fogs. General situation.—An intense and extensive anti-cyclone is centred over New Zealand. Winds.—Light and variable southeasterlies predominating in the north and northerlies in the south. Seas. —New Zealand waters, smooth to moderate: eastern Tasman Sea, light to moderat.-* and variable winds and smooth to moderate seas. At one o’clock this morning the weather was calm and fine. The barometer readings for the last three mornings have been as follows: This morning (steady) 30.20 in Wednesday 30.18 in Tuesday 29.99 in
