CONTROL OF TRANSPORT IN WAR TIME
RIGID PLANS PREPARED BY BRITAIN LONDON, March 28. The Minister of Transport (Dr E. L. Burgin), disclosed that in wartime the Government would take over all railways, control roads strictly and curtail private motoring to conserve petrol and provide adequate food transpoi-t to the more remote districts. J Dr Burgin added that the docks and shipping routes presented countless problems, but plans were being prepared to maintain the essential services.
