NEW REGISTRAR OF SUPREME COURT

MR A. E, DOBBIE APPOINTED TO INVERCARGILL (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, March 29. Promotions among Court officers consequent upon recent retirements were announced by Mr T. Mark, Public Service Commissioner, today. Mr G. S. Clark, registrar of the Supreme Court at Hamilton, has been appointed registrar of the Supreme Court at Wellington in place of Mr W. W. Samson, who is retiring at the end of this month. Mr E. G. Rhodes, deputy-registrar of the Supreme Court at Wellington is to be registrar of the Supreme Court at Gisborne. Other appointments are:—Mr P. D. Leahy, deputy-registrar of the Supreme Court at Christchurch, to be deputyregistrar of the Supreme Court at Wellington; Mr A. E, Reynolds, clerk of the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington, to be registrar of the Supreme Court at J, T, A. Beaumont, clerk of the Supreme Court at Wellington, to be second clerk and deputy-registrar of the Supreme Court at Palmerston North; Mr A. L. Tresidder, registrar of the Supreme Court at Nelson, to be clerk of the Magistrate’s Court at Wellington; Mr A. J. Bennetts, second clerk of the Magistrate’s Court at Christchurch, to be registrar of the Supreme Court at Blenheim; Mr W, Parker, registrar of the Supreme Court at Westport, to be registrar of the Supreme Court at Nelson; Mr C. ,0. Pratt, clerk of the Magistrate’s Court at Hawera, to be registrar of the Supreme Court at Wanganui; Mr A, R. C. Claridge, second clerk of the Magistrate’s Court and deputy-registrar of the Supreme Court at Palmerston North, to be clerk of the Magistrate’s Court at Hawera; Mr F. S. R. Knight, clerk of the Magistrate’s Court and acting registrar of the Supreme Court at Auckland, to be registrar of the Supreme Court at Auckland; Mr H, V. Jerred, deputy-clerk of the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland, to be clerk of the Magistrate’s Court at Auckland; Mr T. P. Pain, deputy-registrar of the Supreme Court at Dunedin, to be registrar of the Supreme Court at Whangarei; Mr W. J.
