Twenty-year-old John Bromwich, on whom Australia depends this year to recapture the Davis Cup, apparently is not letting thoughts of the coming battle worry him over-much. He has taken to golf—or, rather, golf has taken to him—and he is deep in the game’s well-known toils where every moment away from a course is near torture. After returning to Sydney tennis tour the other day he left immediately to play a round of golf. On the Bathurst course, in inland New South Wales, where par is 71, he scored a 78.
