Malagigi was sent from Auckland to Sydney by the Wanganella on Saturday. He will contest distance races at the Australian Jockey Club’s Easter meeting. A five-year-old bay gelding by Paladin from Drop One, Malagigi won the Mitchelson Cup this season, but failed in the New Zealand Cup and other races at Riccarton. Lately he has shown some form again, and was the runner-up to De" Friend in the Takapuna Cup.
