MICKEY ROONEY GOES TO ETON
“A Yank at Eton,” the Metro film to star Mickey Rooney, will be as correct in detail as the famous British school authorities allow. Tommy Phipps, former Etonian and nephew of Lady Astor, has been hired to co-script the story with George Oppenheimer. The chief problem—how to get the very American Mickey to Eton—has been solved by having his mother (Billie Burke) marry an Englishman as her second husband. Meanwhile, Darryl Zanuck is making “A Briton at Yale” with Richard Greene.
