TWOTOOTH EWES IN DEMAND GOOD COMPETITION AT McNAB There was a good entry of sheep forward at the fortnightly McNab stock sale yesterday. Two-tooth ewes were in demand and there was some keen competition. The top price of 34/- was secured for a line sold by Dalgety and Company Limited on account of Mr James Craigie, of Howe. Other good lines sold by the Southland Farmers’ Co-operative Association Ltd. on account of Mr R. D. Smith brought '32/-. Sound-mouth sheep in good condition made up to 22/-, while full and failingmouth sorts brought from 10/- to 14/-. Full-mouth ewes realized up to 17/10. Lambs sold well and brought up to 20/-, wethers making up to 16/- and mixed sex sorts bringing 15/3. Sales were:—

THE WOOL MARKET KEEN DEMAND FOR GOOD SELECTION (Received March 21, 6.30 p.m.) LONDON, March 20. At the wool sales 7600 bales were offered, including 1348 from New Zealand, and 6450 were sold. A fairly good selection met a keen demand and values generally were well maintained. Quotations: New Zealand greasy crossbreds, “Pahaua,” average 9d, top price lOd; “Mangakino,” lOd; scoured, “Whakatu,” ll|d and 13jd. The Bradford market is firm and unchanged. MINING GILLESPIE’S BEACH (United Press Association) DUNEDIN, March 21. The Gillespie’s Beach return was 390 z 14dwt for 125 hours on 16,042 yards of material.
