GERMANY'S EASTERN DRIVE.—Herr Hitler and other Nazi leaders have repeatedly indicated that Germany's policy of territorial expansion in Europe has as its chief aims the Black Sea coast and the wheat fields of the Ukraine. The map shows the extent of the Ukrainian lands, the losses suffered by Hungary and Bulgaria in the Great War, and the borders of the Balkan.and Central European States as they were until the German occupation of Czechoslovakia on Wednesday. German power and influence now extend to the Carpatho-Ukraine, the eastern tip of which is only about 180 miles from the western frontier of Soviet Russia.
