CAR CRASHES INTO POLE

MAN AND WIFE INJURED (United Press Association) FOXTON, March 14. A car driven by Mrs G. S. Eastwood, who was accompanied by Mr Eastwood, of 33 Fitzroy street, Wellington, skidded at the Himatangi corner at midday while on its way to Wairakei, and crashed into a power pole in front of the store. The door was torn off. Eastwood fell to the road, suffering a head injury. The car continued to finish up in a fence. Mrs Eastwood suffered a cut over the eye. Both received medical attention at Foxton. The car was considerably damaged.
