INSURANCE AGENT DISAPPEARS
CAR FOUND ABANDONED IN PARKING AREA (United Press Association) 1 AUCKLAND, March 13. The disappearance of Eric S. Watts, an insurance agent, aged 35, married, was reported to the police by relations His car was found abandoned on Saturday morning in a city parking area. Watts was prominent in sport, particularly hockey and cricket. He was a first-rate hockey centre-forward. Since he retired in 1935 he had been sole hockey selector in Auckland. He was last seen at his office on Wednesday, when he was about to proceed to the country to interview a client. FALL ON RIVER BANK Allan Morris, aged 20, of Otatara, was admitted to the Southland Hospital with a fractured bone in his left leg. He was walking along a river bank when he put his foot in a hole and fell. FINGERS CUT AT WORK Mark Herbert West, aged 24, of Shannon street, Bluff, a freezing works employee, cut his right index finger deeply while at work, severing a tendon. He also cut his right middle finger slightly. His condition is satisfactory.
