Synthetic Waitomo
Synthetic stalacites and stalagmites for miniature Waitomo Cayes are among the many and varied odds and ends which are now being constructed in Wellington for the Centennial Exhibition. A realistic semblance of limestone is obtained by attaching rags to a wire frame, and then throwing lime plaster at them.
