RUSH OF VOLUNTEERS IN BRITAIN

RESPONSE TO CALL FOR NATIONAL SERVICE (British Official Wireless) RUGBY, February 10. Applications continue to be received at the rate of more than 3000 a day to national service organizations requiring volunteers in the Greater London area. No fewer than 31,906 applications had been received at 101 national service offices up to February 4. This figure is exclusive of applications made direct to local organizations and does not include those received from recruits for the territorial or any other auxiliary and reserve forces of the army.
