PLAIN AND FANCY DRESS BALL

LARGE ATTENDANCE AT CLIFDEN A most successful plain and fancy dress ball was held at Clifden on a recent evening. Visitors were present from Invercargill, Tokanui, Nightcaps, Otautau, Riverton, Pahia, Orepuki, Ohai and Tuatapere. Extras were played by Miss Rita Brick and Mr H. Dixon was master of ceremonies. The prize-winners were as follows:— Best fancy dress: Miss Diana Moffett (Spanish lady); Mr Jock Graham (sheik). Most original costume: Miss J. McPherson (Brasso); Mr M. McLeay (skeleton).
