TRIPLETS PROGRESS WELL

UNUSUALLY HEAVY BABIES The triplets which were born at St. Helens hospital, Invercargill, last week to Mr and Mrs John Francis Crofts, of 15 Bowmont street, are making very gcori progress. The infants were unusually heavy at birth and are thought to have established a record. One of the two boys weighed 61b 13oz, the other 51b 14oz and the girl 51b 12oz. The parents have received widespread congratulations on the birth of the triplets. The Calder Mackay Company Ltd., has undertaken to present Mr'and Mrs Crofts with a special baby carriage. This will be manufactured in Christchurch and presented to the parents within a short time. Wicks, Ltd., presented the infants with a parcel of clothing. It is believed that the three children are only the third set of triplets bom in Invercargill. The first -were bom about 60 years ago and the second about 40 years ago.
