At the monthly meeting of the Rimu branch of the Women’s Division of the Farmers’ Union the president, Mrs Cameron, presided over a fair attendance of members. A motion of sympathy was passed with the relations of Mrs Church. The roll call was “Your Favourite Song.” Competitions for the afternoon re-
suited:—Slice of Christmas cake: Miss T. Stewart 1, Mrs W. Emerson 2. Best collection of vegetables: Mrs Broomhall and Mrs Cameron 1 eq. Vase of flowers: Mrs Shand 1, Mrs Little 2. Best bloom: Mrs Fisher 1, Mrs Emerson 2.
The hostesses were Mesdames Broomhall and Little.
