FIRE AT FOUNDLING HOME
NUNS SAVE YOUNG BABIES (Received February 5, 7.10 p.m.) MELBOURNE, February 5. A fire occurred last evening at the St. Joseph’s foundling home, in the suburb of Broadmeadows. Nuns at great risk through smoke rescued 35 babies, some only a few days old, and carried them to safety.
