DRUIDS’ PICNIC
OUTING AT THOMSON’S BUSH The annual picnic of the Invercairgill Druid Lodges was held at Thomson’s Bush on Saturday. The weather was ideal and the 300 members, their families and friends who were present enjoyed the outing. Sports events resulted as follows:—Tiny tots: C. Harris I, F. Brandford 2; girls, four to six years: N. Hunt 1, B. Boniface 2; boys, four to six: R. Longley 1, W. Wilson 2; girls, seven to 10: V. Fox 1. N. Shaw 2; boys, seven to 10: J. Lyall 1, P, Wilkinson 2; girls, 11 to 14: V. Morrison 1, D. Fairweather 2; boys, 11 to 14; P. Douche 1, E. Boyle 2; married women’s race: Mrs Fox 1, Mrs Hair and Mrs Langley 2 eq.; single women’s race: Miss M. Gregg 1, Miss N. Macintosh 2; 135 yards Sheffield: A. Hunt 1, J. Low 2; juvenile handicap: R. Dawson 1, T. Hagen 2; married men’s race: A. Hunt 1, F. Stewart 2; three-legged race (junior): K. Sandri and N. Boniface 1, J. Brandford and B. Harris 2; three-legged race (senior): J. Gregg and N. Gregg 1, Miss A. Hagen and A. Hunt 2; committeemen’s race: F. C. Barham 1, J. Ward. 2.
