“SLY-GROG” CASE AT ASHBURTON

OFFENDER FINED £4O (United Press Association) , ASHBURTON, February 3. William Crellin, charged with selling liquor without a licence was fined £4O and allowed a fortnight in which to pay. The sale was made at a house to two youths, the police raiding the premises a month later and seizing the liquor. It was accused’s fourth conviction since August 1936.
