OTAUTAU GARDEN CLUB

There was a good attendance at the monthly meeting of the Otautau Garden Club. Mr W. J. Wesney presided. It was decided to hold the annual show on Friday, February 24. The following stewards were appointed:. Cut flowers, Miss Harrington and Miss M. Kennedy; section 2, Mesdames N. McFadgen and A. Harrington; floral decorations, Mesdames G. R. McMillan and W. Thomson; vegetables, Messrs D. Mitchell and J. Sounness; jams and jellies, Miss T. Scatter; sewing, Mesdames J. G. Conolly and R. Smart; baking, Miss R. Campbell, and Mrs J. Kennedy; children’s section, Mr W. J. Wesney (vegetables) and Mrs D. Mitchell (cut flowers); tea rooms, Mesdames J. Kennedy and Hope and Miss C. Eason, with power to add. The following judges were nominated: Flowers, Mr L. Lennie, who is empowered to bring others if he. so desires; jams and jellies and baking, Mrs Smellie. ... The appointment of a sewing judge was left in the hands of Mesdames Conolly and Smart.
