MARYLEBONE MEETS BORDER YARDLEY MAKES MORE THAN A CENTURY (Received January 15, 6.30 pm.) EAST LONDON, January 14. The Marylebone touring cricket team, playing against Border, in its first innings made 320 (Yardley' 126, Valentine 39, Wright 61). Bowling, Chapman took four wickets for 60 runs. Border in its second innings lost five wickets for 222 runs. (Evans 62 not out, Dowling 60 not out). 1 SHEFFIELD SHIELD MATCH NEW SOUTH WALES MAKES 246 RUNS (Received January 15, 6.30 p.m.) SYDNEY, January 15. Playing in a Sheffield Shield cricket match, New South Wales, in its first innings, made 246 (James 45, Hynes 63 not. out)j, Bowling, Cotton took three wickets for 44 runs and Grimmett four for 53. . - South Australia has lost two wickets for 116 runs (Whitington 59).
