Dr Walton Bremner returned to Christchurch by the express last night after a visit to Invercargill. The Rev. E. B. Chambers leaves by the express this morning on z business visit to Auckland.

The appointment of Mr A. F. J. Heath, of Lumsden, as a Coroner has been gazetted. Mr G. E. Williams, who is b be married this week, was met by the staff of Sargood, Son and Ewen on Ftiday and presented with an electro -plated tea service and tray. The presentation was made by the manager, Mr I. B. Witt, who wished Mr Williams g<od health and happiness in his married life.
