END OF SOUTH ISLAND TOURNAMENT (United Press Association) ASHBURTON, January 13. The South Island croquet championship tournament concluded today. The finals resulted: Open championship.—Mrs W. 11. Kirk (Geraldine) beat J. Thompson, 24-26, 26-2, 26-23. Women’s championship.—Mrs J. Palmer (Christchurch) beat Mrs Kirk, 26-18.
