TODAY’S RECIPE
COFFEE WAFFLES 2 cups (8 ounces) flour. 4 tablespoons (2 ounces) sugar. !> teaspoon salt. 4 teaspoons baking powder. 4 tablespoons melted butter. 2 tablespoons coffee essence. | teaspoon vanilla. 2 eggs. 1| cups milk. Sift dry ingredients together. Beat eggs, add milk, coffee essence, vanilla and melted butter. Add to hole in centre of dry ingredients, and stir in ever-widening circles. Cook and serve with coffee-flavoured cream. SARAH.
