TOURIST LICENCES SOUGHT
VEHICLES OF RAILWAY DEPARTMENT (Special to The Times) AUCKLAND, December 2. An application by the New Zealand Railways Department for eight more tourist motor-vehicle licences is to be heard by a joint sitting of the No. 1 and No. 2 Licensing Authorities in Auckland next week. It is -staled that the applications will be for what may be termed “general utility” licences enabling the department to enter the tourist traffic with motor-vehicles on any route at all. The sitting will begin on Wednesday.
