Cue-Tipped Fountain Pen
Alec Brown, English snooker player, caused a sensation when he used a cue-tipped fountain pen in an attempt to extricate himself from a snooker. He was playing in a Gold Cup match with Newman. The referee penalized him seven points. Brown protested, claiming that the rules did not define what constituted a cue. Both Davis and Lindrum supported Brown. “He has rightly drawn attention to the laxity of the rules regarding cues,” Lindrum said.
