TODAY’S RECIPE
GINGER SNAP WAFFLES 6 tablespoons (3 ounces') brown sugar. 4 tablespoons (2 ounces) butter. 2 eggs. 1 cup golden syrup. 2 cups (8 ounces) flour. 1 teaspoon cinnamon. 1 teaspoon ground ginger. i teaspoon nutmeg. 1 teaspoon soda. i teaspoon salt. J cup (approximately) milk.
Cream butter and sugar. Add wellbeaten eggs. Melt golden syrup, add milk and soda. Add second mixture to first mixture. Fold in sifted flour, cinnamon, ginger, nutmeg and salt. Pour on hot waffle iron and bake two to three minutes. Serve with butter or whipped cream, chopped nuts and ginger. SARAH.
