REPORT OF MARRIAGE CORRECT
LADY MOSLEY GIVES BIRTH TO SON LONDON, November 30. Sir Oswald Mosley, leader of the British Fascists, announced that the report of his marriage to Mrs Brian Guinness, a daughter of Lord Redesdale, at Munich a year ago was correct. Lady Mosley gave birth to a son last Saturday.
The Berlin correspondent of the British United Press said last week-end that Sir Oswald was married on December 4, 1937, to Mrs Brian Guinness in the reception room at Herr Hitler’s private offices in the Fuhrershaus at Munich. Herr Hitler was best man, and the Lord Mayor of Munich, Herr Karl Flehler, officiated at the marriage and filed the certificate privately at the city hall. Official quarters in Berlin emphatically denied that Herr Hitler acted as best man at the wedding "which was supposed to have taken place.” The British Union of Fascists issued a statement denying that Sir Oswald Mosley had married Mrs Guinness. It affirmed that the Munich document "does not exist, or it is a forgery.”
