SERGEANT HENDERSON TO BE SENIOR SERGEANT (United Press Association) WELLINGTON, December 1. The following police promotions and transfers have been announced: — Sergeant Angus Henderson, Tauranga, and formerly of Invercargill, to be senior sergeant, succeeding the late Senior Sergeant Finch at Whangarei; Detective-Sergeant Holmes, Dunedin, to senior detective and remaining in charge of the detective branch there; Sergeant Edwards, Wellington South, to take charge at Tauranga; Senior Sergeant Quale, Greymouth, to the Mount Cook Station, Wellington; De-tective-Sergeant Bickerdike, Christchurch, to be senior sergeant in the uniform branch, succeeding Senior Sergeant Quale at Greymouth; Sergeant J. Paine, in charge of the Training School at Wellington, promoted to senior sergeant.
