HAND-TO-HAND BATTLE WITH ARABS
TWO BRITISH SOLDIERS KILLED JERUSALEM, November 29. Two British soldiers were killed, two were seriously wounded and five were slightly wounded in a hand-to-hand battle with Arabs south of Haifa. Twenty-six Arabs were killed. Heavy fighting is continuing. Lance-Corporal McCallum was fatally injured in a land mine explosion at Tulkarem. I
Forty-three Arabs were killed in the battle at Haifa, including a prominent leader, Abu Darra, says a later message.
