THE WEATHER LIGHT RAINS DEVELOPING
(Special to The Times) WELLINGTON, November 23. Following is the special weather forecast for Southland, issued by the Meteorological Office, Wellington:— Light to moderate winds, between north-east and north-west predominating. Weather becoming unsettled, with scattered, but mainly light rains developing. Temperatures becoming milder. Seas slight to moderate. Following is the Dominion forecast: — Weather fair to cloudy generally at first, but becoming unsettled in western districts, with scattered rams developing. Temperatures mild in the north, moderate in the south. General Situation—The recent deep depression has passed away eastward and pressure is now very uniform over the Dominion. Conditions are disturbed off the New South Wales coast and barometers have fallen sharply over Tasmania. , , , . Winds—Light to moderate and variable, with northerlies gradually predominating. Seas—New Zealand waters, slight to moderate; eastern Tasman Sea, light to moderate and variable winds and slight seas. The weather in Invercargill yesterday was fine and sunny, but a cold wind blew from the south-west. At one o’clock this morning the weather was warm and mild.
