GIFT EVENING AT MENZIES FERRY
BRIDE AND BRIDEGROOM HONOURED Before her marriage to Mr James Johnstone, of Albany, but formerly of Wyndham, Miss N. Crosbie was given a gift evening in the Menzies Ferry Hall on Saturday evening, when there was a big attendance of her friends. Music for dancing was played by Mrs R. L. Crosbie, with extras by Misses Henderson and Caldwell and Mr J. Crosbie. Mr G. Stewart asked the guest of honour to accept the gifts. Mr V. B. Foxon, on behalf of the tennis and basketball clubs presented Miss Crosbie with a three-piece crystal set, saying that she had always been an enthusiastic member of both clubs since their inception.
