NURSING DIVISION

INSPECTION MEETING IN ST. JOHN HALL The annual inspection meeting of the Nursing Division, St. John Ambulance Brigade, was held in the St, John hall. The lady superintendent, Mrs G. M. Chapman, presided. Before the inspection Mr J. Ward, vice-president of St, John Ambulance Association accepted on behalf of the trustees a framed photograph of Mr John Miller, who was president of St. John Ambulance Brigade from 1931 to 1938. Mr Miller’s untiring work in the interests of the Order was referred to. On behalf of the division, Mrs Chapman presented Mrs J. Miller with a bouquet and referred to the interest Mrs Miller had taken in the activities of the division. • The inspection was carried out by Di H. R. Gbson (district surgeon), Dr A. T. McCaw (divisional surgeon) and Mr W. R. Curwen (district superintendent). A presentation was made to Mrs Chapman by Mr Ward in appreciation of her service to the division. A five years’ service certificate was presented to Miss Isabel Brown by Mr Curwen. Dr Gibson presented Home Nursing certificates to Mrs L. J. Thomas, Misses M. Brown, J. Brown, B. Drewe, J. Dwyer, M. Verity and C. Wilson.
