ARRIVAL AT BLUFF ABOUT DECEMBER 21 The New Zealand Shipping Company’s liner Orarl left London last Thursday for Lyttelton, Port Chalmers, Bluff, Timaru and New Plymouth. She will travel via Suva. The vessel is due at Lyttelton on December 15 and is expected at Bluff about December 21. The Union Company’s steamer Wainui finished loading and discharging general cargo yesterday and sailed for Dunedin. The Union Company’s collier Kaimai arrived at Bluff yesterday afternoon with coal from Westport. She will sail today for northern ports. The Union Company’s steamer Waimarino, having finished her loading, sailed from Bluff early yesterday morning for Dunedin. The Speybank, outward bound to. New Zealand from Los Angeles and due at Auckland on November 13, will now arrive next Friday. She will later proceed to Wellington, Lyttelton, Dunedin and AustrlThe Middlesex left Wellington on Saturday morning for Auckland, where she will finish her loading. She will sail from there next Saturday for London, Avonmouth, Cardiff. Liverpool, Manchester and Glasgow. The Mataroa, at present completing her Homeward loading at Auckland is now scheduled to leave there tomorrow at 5 p.m. for Great Britain. She will travel via the Panama Canal.
From Melbourne, the Union Company’s trader Kauri is expected at Bluff tomorrow with Australian cargo for discharge. She completes at Dunedin. Timaru, Wellington and Tarakohe. The Shaw, Savill and Albion Company advises that the Fordsdale is now due at Bluff on Friday from Lyttelton to continue discharge of her London cargo. She will sail later for New Plymouth and completes at Nelson, where she will also begin her loading programme. The New Zealand Shipping Company announces that the Remuera, which is to leave London on March 9, 1939, will from that date carry tourist class passengers only, Instead of cabin class and tourist class as In the past. The. whole of the vessel’s passenger accommodation will in future be available at tourist class rates and all passengers will have the full run of the ship. The Remuera will make her first trip from New Zealand as a tourist class vessel on May 25, 1939.
