Hutchinson’s latest “Century Omnibus” volume is a further series of historical episodes compiled by Claud Golding. The episodes are grouped according to the months of the year to which they are related. Some are well known, but many are taken from the by-paths of history and will be new to most readers. The tales are mostly of two or three pages only and are attractively written. An admirable bedside book, filled with new and interesting material.
