COUSIN BETTY’S LETTER

My dear Cousins,

Friday, October 14,'is the day of our ELECTION. What excitement there will be that day, as the young electors take their ballot papers, mark off the names of the candidates for whom they are not voting, and place their papers in the ballot-box. As you will see, the Electoral Roll is published this week and as it takes up so much space, the stories about’the exciting adventures are being held over for a week. Between Ourselves is also missing from our columns, but as it is a special occasion, I am sure my cousins will not mind waiting just this once for the answers to their letters. Have you kept the platforms written by the candidates for our Parliament. Read them carefully, and then vote for the candidate whom you consider would make the best Memb i r am very of those platforms, for they are well written and much time and thought must have gone into their construction. , , . , S I am sorry that the candidates cannot all be elected, for each one, on his or her platform, deserves to be your representative. ... . . , , ... w A copy of the platforms for the electorate is being sent to each of the polling booths listed in the Chronicle this week, so if you have not already seen the policies, ask the teacher at the school which is your polling booth if you may read them, there.. Even, my letter to you niust not be too long this week, for space is precious. Friday is Election Day !
