The manager (Mr Syme) is to be heartily congratulated both for the high grade maintained throughout the season and also, for his success in winning the championship at the Southland winter show. The high grade resulted in the factory obtaining above the average price for cheese, there being 665 crates finest, 1215 first and 24 graded. The average payout for first-grade milk for the 1936-37 season was l/2jjd per lb butterfat.
