FORTROSE MINIATURE RIFLE SHOOTING
There was a fair attendance at the weekly shoot of the Fortrose Miniature Rifle Club. F. Ericson was top scorer with the possible, 80, and he was closely followed by Miss J. Anderson with 79. The winners of the weekly buttons were Miss J. Anderson and F. Eriscon, while the Barrett badges were won by Miss Anderson and F. Fitzharris. The detailed scores were: F. Ericson 80-2-80, Miss J. Anderson 79-3-79, F. Stirling 78-2-79, C. T. Ruddenklau 781- F. Fitzharris 78-4-79, H. Wray 772- D. Anderson 76-3-79, H. Chisholm 73-5-78,. G. Jennings 76-2-78, J. Anderson 74-6-79, Miss C. Jennings 71, Mrs F. Chisholm 61-8-69, R. McEwan, sen., 69, F. Kinsett 62-6-68. Mrs F. Chisholm fired a back shoot scoring 76-8-79, and H. Chisholm scored 76-5-79. A big party of marksmen from the Gorge Road Miniature Rifle Club visited Fortrose and fired a friendly match and an 1.C.1. match. The standard of shooting was very high and some excellent shooting was seen. F. Stirling of Fortrose was top scorer with the possible and H. Golden and F. Ericson were next with 79. Others who shot well were G. Moreton and J. Ruddenklau with 78, Miss J. Anderson, R. White, H. Wray, F. Fitzharris and G. Jennings each with 77. In the friendly match Fortrose beat the visitors by 67 points, the home team scoring 1463 points and the visitors 1396 points. In the 1.C.1. A big party from the Glenham Miniature Rifle Club visited Fortrose and
fired a friendly match with Fortrose. Fortrose recorded a narrow win by 19 points. A. Melvin and G. Templeton o£ Glenham were top scorers for the evening with 79, followed by D. Stirling and F. Stirling of Fortrose with 77.
