MAORIS BEAT FIJI IN THIRD TEST HARD, FAST GAME AT SUVA (Received August 28, 6.30 p.m.) SUVA, August 27. The Maoris won the third Rugby Test by defeating Fiji by 6 points to 3 after a hard, fast game. Steele and Tuhoro scored tries for the Maoris and Fiji’s points came from a penalty goal. The game was more open than the other two games, but deadly tackling on both sides prevented further scoring. The Maoris, with injured players, put up a stubborn battle to draw the series. Wetere, Steele, Murray and Wirepa were the outstanding backs and McDonald, Matthews and Kenny were the best forwards.
