MAIN EVENT WON BY KENWORTHY COMPASS SUCCESSFUL IN MASSEY MEMORIAL (United Press Association) AUCKLAND, August 27. Cold showery weather was experienced for the August meeting of the Auckland Trotting Club which was held at Epsom today. There was an attendance of 7000. The track was heavy. Our Peggy was still in front entering the straight from Proletarian, Fembrook Lass, Nervie’s Last, Kenworthy, which came through fast on the outside maintaining his run to win" in good style from Proletarian by a length. Our Peggy was a neck away third, and Nervie’s Last was another half length back fourth.

Under pressure Vanora broke, and Compass went on to win by one length and a-half from Vanora. Munga Tangi was another length away third, and Sir Frank was fourth a further one length and a-half back.
