DRIVER’S COLLAPSE WHILE TRAVELLING

(United Press Association) WELLINGTON, August 11. While driving a lorry along Customhouse Quay, Wellington, at 2.30 this afternoon, J. Moore, collapsed and died. A pedestrian, J. W. Blyth, seeing the lorry beginning to career toward a nearby tram shelter, jumped on to the running board, switched off the engine and stopped the lorry before any damage was done. Moore who was 58 years of age, had been driving for 30 years and in that time had not had an accident and had never been before the Court for a breach of the traffic regulations. He leaves a widow and four - children. HORSE TRAINER FOUND HANGING (United Press Association) CARTERTON, August 11. Sydney John Crawford, a horse trainer belonging to Featherston and a married man with no family, was found hanging in a shed owned by H. Rowles, town clerk of Featherston, this morning. He was about 45 years of age.
